This race series is all within Long Hunter State Park, a few miles outside the Nashville city limits. All race distances circumnavigate Couchville Lake, go out and back on the Bryant Grove trail and do the cliff trail loop.
Emily and I (Scott) live four miles from the park and go here all the time. We’re really happy we get to showcase this area to people. It’s beautiful and makes for a pretty fast, flat race.

Course
The course is a mix of trail and paved trail/asphalt.  The 2-mile trail that goes around Couchville Lake is a paved, greenway type trail. The only other non-dirt areas are the roads connecting the other trails together.

These trails are quite flat and are only mildly technical.  You could be fine with road shoes if it doesn’t rain right before the race
Watch the course play out and download GPX files by following the links in the maps.

Awards
Finisher awards are handmde clay arrowheads by
Crystal Shade Pottery. Podium awards are lined with bronze, silver and (real) gold.

Crew
Crews/Friends are only allowed to provide assistance at the Couchville and Bryant Grove aid stations. While you have access to Jones Mill and the Inland parking areas, and are encouraged to go anywhere you want to cheer them on, do not assist your runners outside of the two designated aid stations spots or your runner will be disqualified. Keep it fair for everyone.

Drop Bags
50k runners are allowed a drop bag at the Bryant Grove aid station.
